Wahoo!!!

I just talked to J and her chemo induction worked! YAY! YAY! YAY! She's not out of the woods by any means, but she's headed in the right direction. Tomorrow, the docs start boosting her immune system and hopefully, she can go home in 10-14 days.

She's still got chemo for the next few months but this is the best news we could hope for. She said the docs said that most patients have leukemia cells left after the first round of induction and tend to have to do another 7 days' worth of chemo, but her marrow had no bad guys! Hot damn! I am so happy for her. Her hair started falling out on Sunday and she was taking it really, really hard. I was so hoping that this was the news she'd get today. I am so freaking happy!
