Kels called me this morning to see if we were going out on Thursday. She asked if I knew that Gram was in the hospital. I said, "My grandma?" She said that she'd been there since Friday - I guess she was really weak and couldn't walk. Um, why didn't my mother call me?Boo called them yesterday afternoon to tell them we wouldn't be at the mandatory/optional because I was sick. He talked to Dad. I heard him ask if they were ok. To which my father replied that they were. WTF?! You don't see fit to tell me she's in the hospital? Not that I would go visit her as sick as I've been. But still.
I keep thinking it's Dr. Hunt's way of easing her into the nursing home. It's a 6-12 month wait if she goes from home. Joan said that it's quicker and more Medicare friendly if she goes from the hospital. So maybe that's what they're doing. But it pisses me off. Don't I have the right to know? Me of all people? I'm the only grandchild (out of 13) who goes there with any regularity. WTF?! I'm so pissed. I wanted to call my parents and get the scoop, but I was afraid I'd go off on them. I thought better of it, but come on. WTF!

Sick
This was the first time I've been sick since Shadow's been gone. She was always really good to me when I was sick. She would lay next to me on the couch or cuddle up next to me on the bed. I was thinking about her so much this weekend. I just miss her.
T did his best, though, and he is just an awesome boy. Wherever I was, he was right there. When we laid on the couch, he had to have some part of him touching me (usually he just sleeps on his own cushion - not necessarily touching me). When I was in bed, he'd lay next to me and just push his body into me. Sometimes he'd lay his head on my leg. Then if I made a scratching motion with my hand, he'd scootch, scootch, scootch up closer to me so I could pet him. He's such a good baby.

Three things from the weekend...
1) I got lots of loving from the kids this weekend.
2) I got to watch Nightmare Before Christmas and Sleepy Hollow last night.
3) We bought some tasty cider.

Must Ponder This
"Throw away the experience, keep the lesson. "
Lifted this from somebody else's blog. I like it.

Flashing
I suspect I may have flashed some old dude with a heart condition in my chi walking class the other night. I had worn my shoes untied all day, but figured I better tie them for class. I went over to the wall and turned so I could bend over without sticking my ass out in public. I tied my shoes and as I was standing up I realized that although my sweatshirt was hanging away from my chest, the tank I was wearing underneath was too. And the old, sick dude in the class was sitting in a chair facing me. Nice. The flashing was not necessarily confirmed, though I'm pretty sure it happened. Since I'm the youngest in the class by at least 15 years, I'm sure it was quite the sight for all involved.
Thursday Thirteen from this week
Thirteen things that happened this week
1. Tz got a new nickname – Czarina Tazina. I have deemed her Russian royalty, even though she’s not princess-y at all. She’s more of a tomboy like her mommy.
2. I drank two Bud Lights in a row and didn’t feel them – sad and scary
3. I had fun on the swings at the park
4. It got freaking cold here. Today at work I’m wearing a long sleeve shirt, sweatshirt, long underwear, jeans, and boots.
5. I ran out of plain soy creamer, and all they had was French vanilla and hazelnut, so I bought the hazelnut. Apparently, EG really likes hazelnut as I caught him tasting my coffee this morning.
6. I tried a detangler from Pantene. I’m torn. It seemed to work for a couple days, then yesterday and today it didn’t. It does seem to make my hair crunchy, though – not something I really enjoy.
7. Every night this week when I went to bed, the twins both burrowed under the covers and cuddled with me.
8. Two nights this week T has slept in bed with us. I invite him every night, but he usually turns me down. I'm afraid the twins may have kicked him out of the bed.
9. I used some weird flavor of detergent this week. It smells really good – sort of apple-y or fruity or something.
10. I realized that I’m depressed again. I’ve had more icky, sad days than not for the last few weeks. I thought it was hormonal, but it didn’t let up after my period.
11. I bumped up my dose of happy pills to 1-1/2 pills per day.
12. T was very happy last night. He was smiling and tearing around the house like a lunatic. It was so freaking cute.
13. I ranked fifth overall in the football pool this week. Yay me. That sure says something about picking my teams based on mascots and colors.

T was so happy last night. He was smiling and tearing around the house like a lunatic. It was hella cute.
The company that we ordered our work Christmas baskets from last year sent us a surprise package to remind us to order from them again. It was turtles - carmel, pecans, cherries, and dark chocolate.
Earl and the The Office were really funny.

Thursday Thirteen
Here's last week's Thirteen - and I'm keeping with the Friday the 13th theme...
Thirteen things that I have an obsessive fear about
1. My house catching on fire when I’m not home
2. My kids running away or getting lost
3. My kids getting sick and it being fatal
4. Death
5. Getting kidnapped, assaulted whatever
6. Someone looking in the windows
7. A hand or snake reaching up from the toilet - yes, I'm serious. I've been afraid of this ever since I was little and now it's a big family joke.
8. Infertility
9. Our house needing major repairs
10. A tornado blowing our house away with the kids in it
11. Being uncontrollably depressed forever
12. Being involved in a fatal car accident (fatality being me)
13. Divorce

It's freezing today. It was snowing when I got to work. It's supposed to be 29° tonight. Nice. It's October. It's too freaking early.
I washed my coat last night (since my new one is on backorder) and wore it to work this morning. I dug out my long underwear. I think I'm wearing it tomorrow, since it's only supposed to be 36°.
I need to go home tonight and vacuum around the baseboards. I'm always paranoid that there will be something in there that will catch on fire when we turn the boiler on. Boo keeps telling me that it doesn't get hot enough to burn, but I'm a paranoid freak about that shit. My babies are in there all by themselves.

Three things from yesterday...
1) The instructor for my walking class said that she'd be willing to stay after class on the last day and show me the running stuff.
2) I ate a tasty leftover burger.
3) It was dark and cloudy and rainy all day. For some reason that made me happy.

Three things from two days ago...
Ok, back to the three things...
1) Rick the replacement dispatcher for Gary's vacation is so nice. He is such the opposite of Gary.
2) I got more practice doing payroll yesterday.
3) I got some pics ordered so I can order some charms and the necklace from Georgia's.

Happy Pills v1.5
I feel pretty crappy. I think I'm pretty depressed again. I was leaning toward the hope that it was hormonal and would pass in a week or so, but it's not getting much better. I've decided (on a whim!) to take an extra 1/2 of a happy pill every night. Dr H said I could, but I was hesitant to go there. Now, I'm ready. We shall see.
